I booked it on 16th July and Flipkart supplied it within 48 hours - this is the quickest delivery I ever had from them. Orpat OEK-8127 electric kettle is a light weight, small, useful product. Now making tea, boiling eggs or boiling water for babies and other light works has become easier, as expected. It boils 1 liter of water within few minutes. This kettle is not for rather complex cooking like cooking pasta or noodles, although you can try it - only to reduce its lifespan. I had experienced this with another electric kettle of same capacity and physicality previously, so I can vouch for my advice. It is necessary to boil and expel first two liters of water before you process any edible things in it, although Orpat did not mentioned it in their user's manual. I did it from previous knowledge. But still first few cups of tea got a strong smell of plastic and queer test. After that the smell and taste became neutral, rather say original. I am using it for three days and I am completely satisfied with its performance, and expecting a good longevity of this product. Surely value for money.

I use this for the following:- 1. Water heating. 2. Making tea. 3. Making coffee. 4. Prepare chicken soup. 5. Chicken curry. (Takes a lot of time) 6. Frying egg. 7. Making rice. (Using gobindo bhog rice) 8. Boiling milk. 9. Making maggi. 10. Boiling egg. Remove the lid. The heater wont go off quickly. Use lemon to clean if it smells foul. Its an excellent product.

I bought this product from flipkart for 585/-. Initially i had got a defective piece but that was replaced by a new one within a week. Very easy to use,nice design,Hidden coil.. Only thing thats not mentioned is the capacity of the kettle. Its 1.0 ltr, automatic turn off. overall Nice buy, worth the price

Orpat has done again!!First calculators and now Kettles.Orpat OEK-8127 is the best and cheapest kettle that one can buy.The quality of the kettle is very good comparing to the price you are paying.You can boil water, make tea and coffee and also my favorite meal, Maggi.The best part of the kettle is that it has concealed heating element. The concealed element will help to prevent pollution of water and also prevent lime-scale formation at the base.The kettle is really useful in winters.

I had bought this kettle in the month of January, 2012 and have now used it for about two and half months. Build Quality :- The kettle, though made of plastic, has a sturdy build. But the hinge of the top lid, feels a bit flimsy. Overall, the quality is as good as it can get for the price you pay for this. Operation :- The use of the cattle is really hassle free. The water gets heated within 2 minutes and starts boiling within 5 minutes. And these timings occurred in the winters when the initial temperature of water was around 15 degree Celsius. Safety Features :- The kettle comes equipped with built in safety features. It has got Auto Stop and Over Heat protection which, through personal experience, I can tell really works. Once I switched it on and accidentally forgot about it. When I realized about it, I found that it had already shut itself off and the water inside has reached a temperature near its boiling point. ( Note : The temperatures I am mentioning are purely based on subjective observations. It does not have any kind of temperature monitoring device built in it ) Cleaning :- Cleaning it from outside is not a problem. After some time of usage, thin layers of phosphates and carbonates get deposited at the bottom in the inside. Cleaning that by inserting your hand from the top lid is not an option unless you have got very tiny and skinny hands. So the only option to clean that is to follow the instructions given in the manual. Conclusion :- For the price you pay for this, it is an excellent buy.

boils water in under two minutes to make noodles, tea or soup to satiate those midnight hunger pangs. was a life - saver while I stayed in the on-campus hostel during my 2-year MBA course. even just to have hot water to drink first thing in the morning, or to prepare a steam bowl for inhaling during blocked noses, or even boil eggs, simply indispensable. Pros: 1. Clear markings for water measurement 2. Detachable jug is very convenient 3. Super fast boiling 4. Excellent value-for-money Cons: Build quality could've been better, the jug shakes quite a bit when the water starts to boil. But it's only a real problem when you're boiling larger quantities of water - 3/4th of the jug or more - which is rarely what a kettle like this is used for. All - in - all an excellent purchase, wouldn't recommend anything else.

To order this electronics Kettle was a big mistake. Major issues are as below- 1- Very poor quality plastic is used for body. 2- Base is not stable and you need to put efforts to put Kettle on base. 3- Very short length of cord. I can vouch it will not reach of any of your sockets. Either you need to extension board or need to setup special place near electricity board. 4- There is no insulation between inner and outer body. When water boil, outer body gets hot like hell and very dangerous. 5- Handle is poorly designed, and difficult to hold when hot water inside. Overall not recommended at all. Do not waste your money on this cheap item. I ordered this item as it comes from branded company ORPAT but big mistake of mine. Please do not buy this product.

first i thought the plastic smell will go off after some time. but after 2 months also i was getting the same smell. the stainless steal plate in the base inside started to have some circles kind of rust. i never boiled anything other than water and i used to wash it and dry it regularly. the quality is not good.
